DPS POWER GENERATION SOLUTIONS

Project Profile: 2021 Mexico Utilities Herradura

_DSC2269-(2).jpg118MW of Temporary Power

The Baja California Region in Mexico experiences high power demand due to increasing power consumption from A/C units in household and refrigeration equipment for industrial customers. This demand is exacerbated by extremely high summer temperatures.

Location: Tecate, Mexico

Power: 118MW ISO Conditions
Voltage: 69kV
Equipment:

  • GE TM2500 Dual Fuel Mobile Turbines
  • Siemens SGT-400 Dual Fuel Turbines

Distributed Power Solutions (DPS) mobilized, installed, and commissioned temporary power in 45 days during a global pandemic and with temperatures over 130°F to support the local utility for peak power demand. DPS delivered 118MW of power @ 69kV (providing substation transformer, substation equipment, metering, and control) via GE TM2500 Dual Fuel Mobile Turbines and Siemens SGT-400 Dual Fuel Turbines.
