DPS POWER GENERATION SOLUTIONS

Project Profile: 2021 Mexico Utilities Centinela

Primary Power for Utility Gap89MW of Temporary Power

The Baja California Region in Mexico experiences high power demand due to increasing power consumption from A/C units in household and refrigeration equipment for industrial customers. This demand is exacerbated by extremely high summer temperatures.

Location: Mexicali, Mexico

Power: 89MW ISO Conditions
Voltage: 230kV
Equipment:

  • Dual Fuel Taurus 60 Mobile Turbines

For this location, DPS mobilized, installed, and commissioned temporary power in 30 days during a global pandemic and with temperatures over 130°F to support the local utility for peak power demand.
